Almost all software evolves over time, and Xojo is no exception.

The Omegabundle team generally recommends using the latest release of Xojo with the latest release of our products. Releases aren't just about adding new features but also addressing issues reporting by our customers. Fixes generally are not applied to older versions, but to the latest version.

Individual components may vary on backwards compatibility. That said, many support as far back as Xojo 2019r1 or later.

GraffitiSuite

With Release 65, GraffitiSuite editions are released as Xojo libraries. GraffitiSuite has an excellent article Preparing for Libraries that explains the rationale. Recommended Xojo version for releases are included in the download button for that release.

Monkeybread Software

MBS Plugins should work back to Xojo 2006r4 from 20 years ago. However, MBS Plugins can support features from Apple that were only introduced after Xojo 2006r4. If an individual function is critical for you, please refer to the documentation.

Paradigma Software

Current releases should work as far back as Xojo 2019r1 or later. Valentina ADKS (Valentina Database ADK for Xojo and Valentina Reports ADK for Xojo) licenses are backwards compatible with previous releases. A license you get now will work with versions of those components before Xojo 2019r1. You can download previously released versions on our website.
