Valentina Release 15.2 updates all products, improves Studio SQL Editor

Improvements for Valentina Studio, Valentina Server and all ValentinaDB and Valentina Reports products.

This release is almost entirely fixes and modest updates based on your feedback.

Valentina Studio 15.2

Valentina Studio is the free, all purpose database management and forms client tool. Valentina Studio Pro combines database management with diagramming, forms creation, reporting and database continuous integration. Available on Windows, Linux and macOS.

  • [Imp][Report Editor] Use the current unit to show values in the line width menu
  • [Imp][SQL Editor] Improved the algorithm of the “Execute Current” action: if the cursor is on the same line right after a semicolon before the next statement, the previous statement is executed
  • [Imp][Start Page] Tooltip for Bonjour Pane on the Start Page
  • [Imp][MySQL] Use the ‘INFORMATION_SCHEMA.KEYWORDS’ system table for auto-completion, if available.
  • [Imp][PostgreSQL] Added the ‘Refresh Materialized View’ action for materialized views.
  • [Imp][PostgreSQL] Supported showing and creation of indexes for materialized views.
  • [Fix][SQL Editor] “Unsafe operation” popup when the ON UPDATE ON CASCADE clause is in SQL.
  • [Fix][SQL Editor] Changing of case when copying the query text to the clipboard
  • [Fix][SQL Editor] Parsing of ‘?’ placeholders when a PostgreSQL database is being used.
  • [Fix][SQL Editor] Highlighting of # comments for MySQL
  • [Fix][Valentina] Dropping of Valentina User Defined Functions from the Schema Editor.

Valentina Studio 15.2 for Windows, macOS and Linux is licensed but free. Valentina Studio Pro is $199 per OS license and includes 12 months of free updates. Valentina Studio UNIVERSAL 15.2 is a single license that works on all three operating systems and licensed on a user basis.

Valentina Server 15.2

Valentina Server incorporates Valentina Reports Server, Valentina Forms Server and three database servers: Valentina DuckDB Server, ValentinaDB Server and Valentina SQLite Server. Available for Windows, Linux (x86, ARM64), macOS and Raspberry PI.

  • [Fix] Register/Unregister DBs every 2 seconds working via REST
  • [Fix] Memory leak via REST
  • [Fix] “system_dumb” database appears, cannot be deleted
  • [Fix] Commands with “IF [NOT] EXISTS” clause in SQL Stored Procedures.

Valentina Server 15.2 for Windows, macOS and Linux is available in a free, evaluation version. Valentina Server starts at $299 and includes 12 months of free updates. It is also available in an OEM configuration that developers can deploy royalty free to their customers.

Valentina Database 15.3

Valentina DB ADK is a commercial component that allows embedding a powerful and advanced database management system runtime and storage in applications. Valentina Client, also a component of Valentina DB ADK, is available for use for free with Valentina Server for working with databases stored on Valentina Server.

Valentina Reports 15.3

ADK or Valentina Application Developer Kits incorporate the runtime engines of Valentina technologies into your applications. Valentina Reports ADKs allow developers to embed reporting into their applications. ADKs are available for many native development systems including C/C++, Java, .NET, Swift, Xojo and more on Windows, macOS & Linux.

  • [Imp] Allowed to use non-integer values for margins. It can be used to define the overlap for the borders of the adjacent records
  • [Fix] Subreport with horizontal layout in the main report with vertical layout
