Paradigma Software announces the immediate availability of Valentina Release 17.4. This release includes improvements across all the Valentina product line of data analysis and developer tools and components. The products are available for download from the Paradigma Software website.
ValentinaDB Update 17.4
ValentinaDB is Paradigma Software advanced, object relational database and available in ValentinaDB Server (a part of Valentina Server) and ValentinaDB ADKs (developer components for adding runtime database support to applications). Paradigma Software officially added support for custom extensions (built in C, C++, Python, and JavaScript) to create custom functions and procedures in Valentina 16 in September 2025. Paradigma Software offers code examples, including free extensions on the Paradigma Software repository on GitHub. What's new:

VODBC Driver 17.4
The Valentina ODBC Driver is available on the following operation systems: Windows for 32-bit (x86), 64-bit (x64), and ARM64 applications with support local ValentinaDB files and ValentinaDB Server (a part of Valentina Server). With Release 17.4, it adds the following database options:

- [New] DuckDB local db file
- [New] SQLite local db file
No license is necessary for using VODBC with Valentina Server (ValentinaDB Server, Valentina DuckDB Server and Valentina SQLite Server). VODBC is also available as an ADK.
Valentina Studio
Valentina Studio is the free, all purpose database management tool suite. Valentina Studio PRO adds more powerful diagramming features, more powerful visual builder tools for databases, Valentina Forms (similar to Claris Filemaker Pro and Microsoft Access), Reports Designer and more. This release adds specific support for Parquet files. Apache Parquet is a column-oriented file format widely used in data engineering and analytics.
In Valentina Studio (Free Edition), you can:
- Open existing or create new Parquet files
- Create, modify and delete fields in the Schema Editor
- View, sort, filter data in the Data Editor without committing changes
- Execute any queries in the SQL Editor
In Valentina Studio (PRO Edition), you can do anything that the Free Edition can do, plus:
- Commit changes in the Data Editor of Valentina Studio PRO
- Import CSV files in the Import Wizard of Valentina Studio PRO

Valentina Studio for Windows, macOS and Linux is licensed but free. Valentina Studio Pro costs $199 per OS license and includes 12 months of free updates. Valentina Studio UNIVERSAL is a single license that works on all three operating systems and licensed on a user basis.
Valentina Reports ADK
With Valentina Reports ADK, developers can add a report generation runtime engine to their local applications which works with all major databases and data sources. New in this release:
