Valentina Release 18.2.2 Adds New Valentina Forms Scripting Options

Also improved SQL Editor, unicode in ValentinaDB and better C# examples.

Release 18.2.2 follows a major update to the Valentina Platform with Release 18. Release 18 added full-text search to ValentinaDB, introduced a new Chart control to Valentina Reports and Valentina Forms, expanded the Valentina Forms toolbox, enhanced productivity features of Valentina Studio SQL Editor and Data Editor and the ability to use AI Ask and Agent modes with Valentina Forms.

Valentina Studio

Valentina Studio is the popular, free database and data source management suite of tools from Paradigma Software. Valentina Studio PRO adds advanced features to the Studio toolbox, including Report Designer and Forms Designer. Valentina Forms is your solution for building and deploying desktop-based database management systems for custom data-tracking applications with graphical user interfaces with free, royalty free local and server based deployment. Users can work with Forms projects on Linux, macOS and Windows. This release includes:

  • [New][Form Editor] Added QDialog signals in the Property Inspector: accepted when the dialog is Accepted, Rejected, and upon finishing passing along the signal. Also  added the Dialog.closed signal, emitted when a dialog closes and reporting whether it was accepted or rejected.
  • [Imp][Qt] Updated Qt to 6.12.0 on Windows and Linux, and to 6.11.2 on macOS.
  • [Imp][AI][SQL Editor] AI Chat now receives the SQL Editor’s current database or connection as context, with instructions to use it by default and ask when a requested target is ambiguous.
  • [Imp][Tips] The Tips window is now non-modal and stays on top of other applications’ windows, so it can remain visible while you work.
  • [Imp][Appearance] Schema Editor view-mode and other group-style buttons now show theme-aware selected, hover, and keyboard-focus states.

ValentinaDB

ValentinaDB is the advanced, post‑relational, extensible columnar database system deployed by ISVs, SaaS, cross-platform developers and vertical solution providers for over 25 years, that require an extremely fast data platform. Valentina for .NET

Valentina Database ADK for .NET (including support for DuckDB, SQLite and ValentinaDB) and Valentina Reports ADKs are available for .NET as standalone solutions for developers, and include a free CLIENT component for native integration with Valentina Server. Valentina Reports is your enterprise ready reporting system that can be bundled with local only solutions as well as full network or cloud solutions. All ADKs start at $199.99.  Improvements include:

  • [Imp][Examples] Windows C# examples now a local reference instead of a specific version in the Global Assembly Cache
